"This film captures Damian Barbeler's Visiting Eucalyptus experience from a different angle. Also in the soundtrack you can hear glimpses of the melodies from the concert work. Thanks to Anna McMichael for playing these excerpts. I got Anna in before the festival to play the main motivic themes so that people had a chance to hear ideas from the piece ahead of the concert. That way hopefully they would have some familiarity with the concert work. Interestingly Anna used a violin with gut strings which was particularly effective for this subject matter as it gave the muisic a gritty, edgy flavour."
